Practice of ecological economy in the region

Currently, thanks to emerging technologies, Elion Resources Group’s practice of ecological economy in Kubuqi has upgraded to integrate with the Belt and Road Initiative, keeping in close contact with state-of-the-art technologies, with a focus on establishing “five demonstration centers”. 1. A demonstration center of watersaving modern agriculture in drought areas, centering on developing the whole licorice industry to control desertification, improve soil and alleviate poverty, while establishing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei base for green and safe food. 2. A demonstration center for big data on desert ecosystems, updating the present germplasm resources base to cover big data systems for the ecosystems of countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes. 3. A demonstration center of smart and ecological PV, which is databased, intelligent and integrated, featuring combined cooling, heat and power, and real-time transactions and accounting, with the aim of improving soil quality, controlling desertification and alleviating poverty, using the model of “power generation + planting + farming.” 4. A demonstration center of ecotourism in deserts, with efforts to build the largest desert eco-park in the world, while developing tourist towns in deserts, and tourism focused on ethnic culture and aerospace science and technology. 5. An innovation demonstration center of the green Belt and Road, which is built with the United Nations Environmental Programme to promote the Kubuqi model, and to build an industry-university-research base for desertification control and an ecological progress training base for teenagers.
