Beer lovers mustn’t miss out on the Oktoberfest Beijing 2017, which will enable them to enjoy authentic Bavarian beer brewed on-site and delicious Bavarian cuisine.

The beer festival will take place at Paulaner Brauhaus restaurant, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, from Oct 12-29.

Guests, together with their families and friends, can immerse themselves in the Oktoberfest atmosphere by enjoying live music from a German band and traditional Bavarian dances.

There will be an enormous tent on the terrace of the restaurant, with decorations in a Bavarian style. It can accommodate up to 500 people at a time.

Last year, more than 6,000 people joined in festivities.

side dishes are presented at the restaurant at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center.

All beers are brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law, ensuring the best taste and quality.

Paulaner beer is brewed with only four basic ingredients — barley, hops, yeast and water. Oktoberfest Beer is only available during the Oktoberfest.

In 1516, the brothers Duke William IV and Duke Louis X of Bavaria announced the law to ensure the quality of beer, which is still in effect today.

During the festival, the restaurant also offers Sunday brunch on Oct 15, 22 and 29 from 11:30 am to 4 pm, with a variety of dishes such as German sausages.

As the world’s largest beer festival, Oktoberfest was originally held annually in Munich, Germany, with a history stretching back more than 200 years.

In 1992, the Paulaner Brauhaus restaurant first introduced the well-known Bavarian tradition and celebration to Beijing, making the annual festival an attraction for German beer lovers and Germans living in Beijing.

“Oktoberfest is much more than beer,” said Torsten Dressler, managing director of Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. “It’s all about the spirit of enjoying life and about Bavarian traditions.”
