-

In the Government Work Report he delivered to the top legislature this year, Premier Li Keqiang said that China will develop the Internet Plus agriculture model, use multiple channels to increase rural incomes, and encourage the primary, secondary and tertiary industries to develop in an integrated way in rural areas.

As an accelerator for both old and new driving forces, the government’s Internet Plus strategy aims to integrate the mobile internet, cloud computing and big data in the real economy, including agriculture.

Internet Plus agriculture represents the new orientation for the development of agriculture.

It represents an innovation of the agricultural production mode, industry model and management methods.

Internet Plus agriculture can provide a new driving force for the modernization of agriculture, which will have a great impact on various links in the industrial chain including production, operation, management and services. The application of the Internet Plus strategy to agriculture is conducive to developing “intelligent agriculture”, highly efficient agriculture and green agriculture. It will help increase the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of China’s agricultural industry, and facilitate its modernization.
