Deputy energy chief under investigation

Liu Baohua, deputy head of the National Energy Administration, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, the top anti- graft agencies said on Saturday. Liu is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. Liu, 57, was born in Ning jin, Hebei province. He has worked in various departments in the energy field since 1984 and assumed his current position in August 2017.
