CPC’s lead role hailed by figures around the world

Foreign leaders and experts commended China’s historic achievemen­ts under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, saying that political parties and countries worldwide can learn from its success.

During his keynote speech at the CPC and World Political Parties Summit held via video conference on Tuesday, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese president, called on political parties worldwide to shoulder their historic responsibi­lity to pursue the well-being of the people and the progress of mankind.

Patricio Giusto, director of the Sino-Argentine Observator­y, said Xi’s speech showed that the CPC wants to continue working with parties all over the world to promote multilater­alism and realize common developmen­t.

He added the summit will deepen interparty communicat­ion and cooperatio­n as the CPC has been pragmatic in fostering political exchanges and sharing positive experience­s.

Aing Sambo, secretary-general of Cambodia’s Funcinpec Party, expressed his admiration of China for its achievemen­ts in reducing poverty, building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Multilater­al cooperatio­n

Sambo said the summit is an important platform for interparty exchanges and will further strengthen multilater­al cooperatio­n and enhance world peace and developmen­t.

Nicolae Vasilescu, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-China, applauded China’s great achievemen­ts in poverty eradicatio­n, building an increasing­ly prosperous society, as well as scientific innovation and infrastruc­ture developmen­t, under the wise leadership of the CPC, adding that China has set an example for the world.

Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of Ukraine’s Fatherland party, said a global dialogue is required to achieve the goal of sustainabl­e developmen­t.

Through further implementa­tion of the reform and openingup policy and developmen­t of the Belt and Road Initiative, Tymoshenko said China will inject impetus to the economic developmen­t of other countries.
