MB&F
Maximilian Büsser & Friends (MB&F) is an artistic concept laboratory based around an idea to assemble collectives of independent watchmakers to develop radical horological masterpieces. Since 2005, these timepieces have been taking the world by storm with its innovative rebellion wristwatches that are anything but ordinary. After pushing the boundaries by blasting into outer space, launching into the sky, powering down the road and around the track, MB&F has dedicated 2017 to the water with Horological Machine N°7 (HM7 Aquapod). At first look, the timepiece may resemble a jellyfish with a very mechanical horology within – a central flying tourbillion tops the concentric vertical movement architecture, with indications radiating out from the centre like ripples in a pond. Similar to jellyfishes, the Aquapod is radially symmetrical and generates its power from tentacle-like automatic winding rotor, along with an imposing flying tourbillion regulating the power generated by the rotor, transforming it into the display of time. HM7 can also be appreciated in the dark.
