#DREAMFERRARI
Winning design inspired by science, beauty and dreams
In the fall of 2016, Ferrari Far East embarked on a special project titled #dreamferrari to celebrate and spark innovation and design. This was a great platform for Ferraristi to delve deeper into the heart of design of the prancing horse marque while exploring personal creativity realms. The first model was built in 1940s by Enzo Ferrari, an Italian car marker now world renowned as the market leader in every aspect be it continuously raising the bar or pushing the boundaries of design, especially in sports cars. At the core of the brand, is a commitment to produce the best Ferraris that are stoked with the flame of passion and one that fulfils dreams.
After numerous submissions and months of selection, the team of judges led by Senior Vice President of Design for Ferrari, Flavio Manzoni, selected a winner. Monica Hutama, a third year graphic design student who combined the very essence of science, beauty and dreams into her design. She envisioned the experience of driving the California T through the mind’s eye and described her work as a visual representation of the billions of neutrons that fire through the brain as a driver take the wheel of the Ferrari, with the infinite possibilities it brings.
Dieter Knechtel, CEO of Ferrari Far & Middle East shared that “the creativity which we have seen from the youth in Singapore has surpassed all expectations and is wonderful to be able to see the many ways in which Ferrari continues to inspire.” The inaugural design competition hopes to continue bringing passion and emotion of the prancing horse to a new generation.
