Our test results suggest the choice between the 2017 models is much tighter, and could well come down to the feel you prefer. Our test pro said the new Pro V1 felt softer than his usual Pro V1x but with the numbers so tight it’s now a much tougher choice. Average driver ball speed – joint fastest with the TP5X and Chrome Soft X. Average wedge backspin for the Pro V1 – the highest on test.
