Emirates re-opens first and business class lounge in Changi Airport

Frequent fliers understand the importance of a good resting area and Emirates decided to give their premium customers an enhanced travel experience. The newly renovated First and Business class lounge in Changi Airport, Singapore took approximately five months to complete, and serves as part of the airline’s continuous investment in upgrading its products.

Officially opened on 28 April 2017, the lounge is ideally located in the departure area above Boarding Gate C1 – where a cluster of lounges is located in. All Emirates First and Business Class travellers, as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold passengers travelling in Economy Class get to access the new facility. 222 people can enjoy the lounge comfortably.

The new lounge includes complimentary chauffeur service in Singapore, dedicated check-in counters and Emirates’ award winning inflight services – providing premium consumers a comfortable and seamless journey from start to destination. Design wise, users can expect to find Italian marble floors, posh leather armchairs and walnut wood finished in the newly refurbished area to create a contemporary yet homely space to unwind in.

Other notable facilities include LED televisions, shower facilities, a business centre, bespoke artwork and a prayer room – newly added for the Singapore lounge. Guests may also tuck into an extensive menu of complimentary gourmet food, served buffet style, and beverage services that include fine premium champagne, wines and spirits at the lounge’s dedicated dining area.

Apart from Singapore and the seven lounges in its main hub Dubai International Airport, there are some other dedicated lounges found in Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing, Birmingham, Boston, Brisbane, Cape Town, Colombo, Delhi, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Glasglow, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Los Angeles, Manchester, Melbourne, Milan, Munich, Narita, New York JFK, Paris Charles de Gaulee, Perth, Rome, San Francisco, Shanghai, Sydney and Zurich. All of which amount to approximately Us$360million of investment.

Emirates currently operates five daily flights between Singapore and Dubai.
