• Showdown At Kota Permai
Team PG’S Inaugural Media & Partners Day
Team PG’S inaugural media and partner’s day got off to a good start at the Kota Permai Golf & Country Club with some of the finest Malaysian professionals and elite amateurs from Team PG in attendance. Invited members of the media and guests were each paired with a professional in their flight and it was very much like Team PG’S Pro Am event. Winners from various categories were also awarded Transview cash vouchers.
“This is actually our first ever media and partner’s day for TEAM PG, we’ve always wanted a Pro Am event of our own with a twist and we wanted to showcase our Team PG hence this idea came about,” said Kevin Yeap, Business Manager of Transview Golf Sdn Bhd. “Team PG is our very own private initiative project, where only selected elite Professionals or Amateurs who consistently display high standards of sportsmanship, integrity and grit are hand-picked as our ambassadors,” Yeap added.
When asked how did Team PG come along he shared, “Team PG was formed back in 2009 and elite professionals as well as amateurs who were selected by our scouting team consisting of Frankie Choo & myself. This team was formed for the purpose of creating a sense of belonging for players, be it professionals or top competitive amateurs. Professional life on tour or golf itself is a very individual sport and players only represent themselves, by creating a team, they won’t feel too lonely on the road where they have teammates from TEAM PG to share their frustrations and accomplishments.”
Transview Golf plays a major role in TEAM PG support, besides apparel support, the company assists team members with equipment support (hard goods, footwear & golf ball contracts).
“Kevin & I never made it on the professional tour, it is therefore our inspiration and we know how hard it can be pursuing this dream, hence we wanted to play an integral part in assisting these potential players to achieve their dreams, “said Frankie Choo, Director of Transview Golf Sdn Bhd.
