Noble deeds for a noble cause

-

Participants and associates were greeted with clear blue skies, lush green fairways and sleek greens at the APIC Group Charity Golf, held once again at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club.

And together with the event’s coorganizer Transview Golf Sdn Bhd, the APIC Group have outdone themselves by raising RM150, 000.

All proceeds raised from the event were channelled to Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Klang, a happy multi-racial home for handicapped children aged from 3 months to 26 years old. Chief Executive Officer of the APIC Group and founder of the event, T.O Tan said, “We have been involved in CSR (community services responsibilities) projects over the last ten years and we are committed at doing our best to give something back to the community especially those really in need, hence our affinity to Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak- Kanak Cacat Klang over the years.

“We are truly honoured that our flights were fully taken up, initially we had a target of 34 flights at RM5,000 per flight but today we had 35 flights out there on the course, we were over subscribed,” he said. “I have all our close friends and associates of APIC Group to thank, for trusting us and coming all the way out to support our cause in any possible way they could, either by taking up the flights or sponsoring items for prizes or cash contributions,” Tan added.

“We are truly thankful and indebted to APIC Group and Mr. T.O Tan who has been ever so supportive of our centre over the years. In times like these where most companies are scaling down on everything due to our slow economic situation, we are indeed blessed that APIC Group could still raise this amount. One cannot imagine how this can greatly facilitate and help these children in enabling them to live an independent life and contribute to society,” said the grateful Mr. Bob Ng, representative from Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Klang.
