Championing stronger families

Focus on the Family Singapore’s 4th Charity Golf tournament on the well-manicured greens of the Singapore Island Country Club was an eventful one, featuring 2 rounds of lightning warnings and a visit by wildlife at one of the gazebos. Old and new friends alike gathered on 21st June 2017 to celebrate friendship and fun, as well as raise funds to champion strong families in Singapore. Despite the rain, 118 golfers, including Guestof-honour Chong Kee Hiong, Member of Parliament for Bishan-toa Payoh GRC, had a marvellous time on and off the course and raising over S$189,000 for the charity. It was a privilege to have Mr Chong share his vision and support in helping families thrive.

Many participated in a variety of novelty games throughout the tournament, providing extra fun to the entire day’s festivities. Sponsored prizes worth over S$160,000 were given away, including 4 sets of ASUS Eeebook E202SA, along with Bee Cheng Hiang, Coach and Eu Yan Sang merchandise, and hotel stays sponsored by The Ascott Limited, Farrer Park Hotel, Far East Organisation, Orchard Hotel Singapore and OUE, amongst others.
