Scotty’s Futura range is created using multimaterial construction to ensure a total MOI performance. An aluminium sole plate and face unit deliver excellent feel and roll, while a stainless steel upper and some serious MOI stability weighting improves the resistance to twisting on off-centre strikes.

WE SAY:

The 6M’s extreme weighting creates what can only be described as an MOI monster. We loved the simplicity of the single black alignment line and two white stripes (at the extremities of the ball), which focus attention beautifully at address, framing the ball, while never being distracting. We also loved the super-premium sound and feel, which our test pro likened to being as distinctive as the solid quality sound of a Rollsroyce door closing. Scotty hasn’t yet bought into face groove tech like others, but when his putters roll as well as this, we’re not sure he needs to.

TOP GEAR VERDICT

If you’re after super-stability you’ll struggle to find better. And if you’ve found in the past that high MOI putters usually mean some wacky head shapes, the 6M is very simplistic. The back weights are so far back they don’t really catch the eye.
