FORGIVENESS RATING
New RIBCOR tech behind the face localises face flexibility, which Taylormade says transfers more energy to the ball. A fluted hosel, undercut top edge, speed pocket sole and face slots all help create a super low CG design and highly forgiving iron.
A seriously good iron that suits a wide audience of golfers in our opinion. They’re especially good if you’re not a fan of chunky game improve-ment profiles as they’re sleeker than many we tested within the category. Taylormade’s engineers have worked hard to improve sound (by controlling vibrations), and it’s paid off as M4 sound powerful and feel explosive. Interestingly, our test pro generated exactly the same amount of ball speed with the M4 and Rogue X (128mph), but Rogue went further as they span less.
