TECH:

There are more than 70 Craz-e “man on a motorbike” putters in Ping’s gold putter vault, meaning they’ve been popular with Tour pros over the years. This latest Sigma G model has a milled aluminium face insert with variable depth and width grooves to deliver consistent ball speeds across the face.

WE SAY:

The Craz-e is a shape that’s been about for years and, thanks to its success, Ping has introduced it into the Sigma G range. Essentially Craz-e was Ping’s answer to the Odyssey 2-Ball craze but its design like the 2-Ball is just as relevant today as it was 10 years ago. It has a busy head, with plenty of curves and rounded edges which won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. We’re big fans of the single, white sightline, which marries up beautifully with a line drawn on a ball. TOP GEAR VERDICT The head shape is a proven winner, the variable width and depth grooves and face insert add an extra dimension to the Craz-e and the midsize sharp-edged grip is a triumph. For fans of Craz-e models before, you won’t be disappointed with the Sigma G edition.
