There’s a new kid on the block when it comes to premium 100% CNC milled putters, and that name is Sean Toulon. Formerly a Taylormade exec, he started his own premium putter business which Odyssey bought last year. The Memphis has a deep diamond mill pattern on the face which Toulon says channels vibrations, improving sound, feel and the quality of roll.

WE SAY:

It’s really difficult to quantify performance gains when it comes to buying a premium putter, just like it’s hard to say a pair of designer shoes perform better than a pair from Clarks. Whatever premium products we buy, they have to tug at our heart strings, win us over and convince us they’re worth the extra. Our pro was a big fan, saying the Memphis and the Bettinardi Queen Bee were his favourite mallets of 2018.

TOP GEAR VERDICT

A beautifully created design with an appealing single long sightline. We can’t say for sure the diamond mill face pattern will help you hole more putts, but it looks amazing and two of our three testers would happily put one in the bag for 2018.
