TIGER CONFIRMS ENTRY TO THE 147TH OPEN
Tiger Woods plans to tee it up at Carnoustie for the 147th Open after confirming his entry into golf’s original Championship. Woods has played The Open on 19 occasions and his arrival at Carnoustie this July would mark his return after missing out on contesting the Championship at Royal Troon and Royal Birkdale in each of the last two years. Tiger played The Open Championship at Carnoustie on the last two occasions, finishing seventh in 1999 and 12th in 2007. The Open returns to Carnoustie for the first time since 2007 and Woods’ participation adds even more depth to a world class field that promises to make The 147th Open one of the most eagerly anticipated to date. The 147th Open will be played over the famous Angus links from 15th to 22nd July 2018.
