Honma Beres S-06 Driver
The Beres S-06 driver is without doubt a premium golf club, within its high technology, the ‘Key Groove Area’ is essential to its performance. This is a groove on the sole just behind the clubface that promotes a face repulsion effect at impact for increased forgiveness, improves launch angle and expands the sweet spot towards the heel and the toe.
In the new head design, the longer face, flatter sole and crown all help to improve forgiveness. The centre of gravity is also moved further back and down to improve performance on mishits. A new lie angle also helps to promote a
draw bias trajectory, together with a bigger clubface, helps expand the effective sweet spot area and greater confidence at address.
The adoption of the finest titanium materials, such as Ti-811 for the body and TI-5N for the face, provides the maximum strength in a lightweight clubhead while improving clubface-repulsion and maintaining durability.
The new ARMRQ X shaft from Honma is designed to perfectly match the S-06 driver. By using specifically selected Torayca carbon fibres, engineers have been able to reduce the weight of the shaft by 1 gram, while maintaining the same feel and consistency while reducing the backspin of the ball. The adoption of the X layer (10 axis cross fibre in the area of the grip) is a key element for the stability and performance of this new generation of shafts. The S-06 driver is available with 9.5º and 10.5º lofts, paired with ARMRQ X 47, ARMRQ X 52, and ARMRQ X 60 shafts (flex R, S-R and S).
Honma Beres IS-06 Irons
These gorgeous premium irons are quite possibly the most beautiful Beres irons in the Honma family so far. Besides looks, they are loaded with lots of technology to enhance performance such as the L-cup face structure of the one-piece face/sole and a wider sole for higher trajectory shots. Irons #4 to #8 incorporate three slits in the bottom of the sole and near the face, to help increase ball speed on mishits. Irons #4 and #5 are redesigned with a wider sole and a bigger head, for a deeper centre of gravity as well as improved forgiveness and confidence at address.
The IS-06 irons are forged with mild steel alloy to provide the signature Honma soft feel coupled with a premium appearance. In irons #4 to #8, the L-cup face/sole structure is made of Maraging Stainless Steel (AM355P) for improved forgiveness and higher ball speed. Meanwhile, in irons #9 to SW, the face structure is flat, made of Maraging Stainless Steel (ES235), for improved control and durability. The IS-06 irons available from #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, AW and SW, with ARMRQ X 47, ARMRQ X 52, and ARMRQ X 60 shafts (flex R, SR and S).
