Flagship Boutique Celebrates Over 50 Years of Seiko in Singapore
In celebration of Seiko’s presence in Singapore for over half a century, Thong Sia Group launched its flagship Seiko boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City. Spanning over 700 square feet, the space boasts a premium and stylish store concept for watch aficionados to explore and experience every aspect of their luxury timepieces, from heritage to design to craftsmanship.
Marking Grand Seiko’s independence from Seiko since 2017, this boutique will also feature a prominent and dedicated section for Grand Seiko in its trademark blue and silver finishings, symbolising the fusion of elegance and simplicity that each timepiece offers.
Gracing the auspicious opening that included the traditional kagami-biraki sake barrel opening ceremony and a master watchmaker on demonstration, invited guests mingled with Seiko brand ambassadors and local celebrities that included Crazy Rich Asians star Pierre Png and television star Rebecca Lim.
Another highlight in celebration of the flagship boutique launch is a Seiko first in Singapore, the launch of three exclusive Grand Seiko timepieces in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Spring Drive.
The Grand Seiko Elegance Collection and the Grand Seiko Sport Collection were handcrafted in two studios dedicated to the art of fine watchmaking in Japan. Each piece is assembled by skilled artisans who ensure the highest precision, legibility and durability for which Grand Seiko is renowned for.
The Grand Seiko Elegance collection is a crystallisation of sophisticated simplicity, distilling the hallmarks of Japanese aesthetics into a manual-winding dress watch that is at once understated and refined with its slim profile.
The Grand Seiko Sport Collection draws inspiration from the strength and tenacity of the king of beasts, and is resplendent in the imagery of the Grand Seiko lion. First introduced as Grand Seiko’s emblem in 1960, the lion reflects its vision to make a watch as precise, durable and beautiful as could be.
