Odyssey Stroke Lab Black Ten and Bird Of Prey
Super High MOI And Stroke Lab Improve Putting Tempo And Stroke
Odyssey, a name synonymous with putters, rolls out two new mallets in the Odyssey Stroke Lab Black Ten and Odyssey Stroke Lab Black Bird of Prey, both engineered with a super high MOI construction and the company’s innovative Stroke Lab weight distribution to improve performance dynamics for a more consistent putting stroke.
First introduced last year, the Stroke Lab platform’s multi-material shaft has been successful with golfers and on Tour, helping to improve tempo and consistency in a player’s stroke through a change in weight distribution. The Stroke Lab shaft is a full 40 grams lighter, and Odyssey redistributed the saved weight by adding it to the head in the form of two sole weights, and channeling the rest to the grip-end.
In the Stroke Lab Black Ten and Stroke Lab Black Bird of Prey, a multimaterial head construction promotes exceptionally high MOI for more stability. Additionally, a new Microhinge Star Insert creates a firmer feel and pleasing sound at impact while providing the same roll characteristics of Odyssey’s Tour-proven White Hot Microhinge. And the hi-def alignment makes it easy to find the right setup at address.
“Our new Stroke Lab Black Ten and Stroke Lab Black Bird of Prey Putters are truly remarkable with all of the premium technologies and performance that they offer,” said Odyssey General Manager Sean Toulon. “Stroke Lab has revolutionized the putter category by fundamentally improving the rhythm and consistency in a golfer’s stroke. And we’re combining it with all the forgiveness from these super high MOI head shapes with one goal in mind: to help every golfer make more putts.”
The Stroke Lab Black Ten is already the top played Odyssey putter model on the PGA Tour, with Phil Mickelson among the long list of players who are using it in competition. Mickelson recently said, “The first few putts I hit with this putter, I noticed a real difference.”
