Savour the Gastronomic Luxe of a National Day Sofa Menu

This year’s National Day is decidely unique in its celebrations, with a nationwide broadcast or our nation’s birthday from 10 different venues across the island. In shades of red and white, family and friends are expected to gather comfortably on sofas to catch the colourful parade live on screen.

Created especially to complement this different National Day celebration, Tablescape is introducing a special Sofa Menu to add a gastronomic touch of luxe on 8th and 9th August. Tablescape’s Sofa Menu makes it easy to lounge indulgently couch-side while watching the exuberant celebrations on television; each set a generous offering of seven savouries and three sweets good for two.

Before draping yourself comfortably across the sofa, grab a hold of the signature Mini Beef Burger, a longtime favourite of guests from Tablescape’s all-day menu, it is housemade fresh baked buns stacked with a juicy wagyu beef patty, fried quail egg, mushroom, bacon, onion, cheese and truffle mayo; or the Mini baguette – Chef Armando’s favourite sandwich built with beef salami, gorgonzola cheese and sweet figs jam.

The savoury Pizza Di Scarola, a traditional south Italian classic that is really more a pie than regular pizza, brings an unusual but umami-rich, new flavour experience to the palate. Housemade dough baked a rich golden-brown is stuffed full with yellow frisee salad, black olives, capers and anchovies.

As you relax on the couch in the privacy and comfort of your home, enjoy the ease and pleasure of popping sumptuous small bites in front of the television. Delight in the Foie Gras Terrine seated on a housemade fluffy pan brioche with pear compote and luxe Blinis topped with refreshing lobster salad and delicate avruga caviar while watching the spectacular parade.

Offer a small culinary salute to the nation with the Chilli Crab Mousse, served with crisp rice crackers; it’s a velvety mixture that brings together Singapore chilli crab through European techniques and ingredients. Then keep the excitement up with the addictive can’t-stop-at-one Wasabi Chips and Nuts.
