The new Alambra Isola cabinet, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso for Rimadesio, puts design freedom back into the hands of the homeowner

-

n designing our living spaces, we crave creative freedom – the flexibility to interpret our furniture and its uses according to our needs. Enter the Alambra system, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso for Rimadesio. It’s the epitome of modern living, and comes with different variations to fit any function and space.

Bavuso has worked with Rimadesio for more than 30 years, and was the first to present a new type of product that utilises sliding doors and panels in materials such as glass and aluminium, which were unusual to the furniture sector at the time. Today, sliding panels and the prevalent use of glass and aluminium has become a signature for Rimadesio.

The Alambra Isola is Rimadesio’s interpretation of the middle- room display unit, designed for a wide range of uses in any home, office or commercial space. The freestanding cabinet is robustly built, but defined by total transparency. The aluminium frame is reduced to its structural minimum to allow the transparent glass and LED lighting system to shine. Featuring a bifacial design, the Alambra Isola is equipped on one side with drawers and walnut-veneered suspended trays, with castor or argilla regenerated leather lining. The opposite side consists of open units with two translucent glass shelves in grey that are also lined with regenerated leather.

Use the cabinet as part of a walk-in closet, to break up different sections of a room in a large space, or to form the centrepiece for your living area. In short, the Alambra Isola can be anything you want it to be. Creative expression is back in your hands.
