Hit snooze

- ZANETA CHENG / EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

MAYBE IT’S BECAUSE April Fools’ coincides with Easter Monday but I’m starting the month rather lackadaisically and, dare I say, with not quite as much seriousness as I tend to take on a new season. Sure, it’s spring and a time of action but after the full sprint that was March, we’re advocating for some well-deserved downtime. You’ll see this translated – or should I say “lost in translation” – in our fashion shoot, where we head to Tokyo, a city that is whatever parts business and pleasure you choose to make it. We suggest extending the latter and provide you with the outfits to do so. In the culture well, Stephenie Gee works hard and plays even harder, taking a deep dive into Chinese wines before soaking in the car-racing atmosphere – not to mention an incredible onsen – at the new Fuji Speedway Hotel. She also speaks with Chef Pam of Bangkok’s Potong, the one-Michelin-starred restaurant that got Chef Pam recognised as Asia’s Best Female Chef 2024. There’s much to feast on. And once sated and perhaps slightly sleepy, you can get cosy on the couch and work your way through our cover star Bible’s on-screen repertoire. The young Thai actor has seen his popularity soar in the past two years thanks to his role in KinnPorsche: The Series. Storytelling, he says, is at the heart of his passion for his craft. Similarly, our inside cover stars Jason Wu and Jennifer Yu continue to improve their craft in order to bring audiences even better stories on-screen. Soak in the stories, drink in the beverages, press snooze. We’re here to support that this month because by May, I’m sure, we’ll be back in the fray and the whirl of the world once more.
