dining room, two lounges, a gym area, and a pool overlooking a valley. The interiors combine traditional and consciously sourced local materials — think natural wood of a tent. The muted palette of cream, wood and sand complements views of the green savannah and distant blue hills.
Al fresco dining in the bush or by the pool can be arranged with the villa’s staff, an eight-member dedicated crew. Daily menus are planned around ingredients grown locally in the villa’s own organic garden. Guests can also visit the neighbouring Maasai community to learn about their culture and craft. www.cottars.com
