RICHARD MILLE RM 36-01 TOURBILLON COMPETITION G-SENSOR SEBASTIEN LOEB
Richard Mille has a soft spot for motorsport and many of his inventions have been the outcome of close personal friendships with drivers. A case in point is the RM 36-01 Competition G-Sensor Sebastian Loeb, which is named after the nine-time winner of the World Rally Championship. This round watch allows the wearer to literally gauge the lateral acceleration and deceleration and longitudinal g-forces experienced when driving fast around corners, as well as acceleration and braking forces on the straights. The g-force sensor built into the movement, which comprises an impressive 50 components, displays the number of Gs accumulated by a driver during various phases of a race. The direction of the g-forces to be measured is set by turning the bezel. And as with every Richard Mille timepiece, the polishing, bevelling and finishing of each and every component is exquisitely done by hand.
