Breaking all records at the November 2019 Only Watch auction at Christie’s Geneva was the 31 million Swiss francs raised for charity by the incredible Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 6300A in stainless steel. Now of cially the most expensive watch ever sold at auction, the Only Watch Patek’s sale price exceeded the US$ 24 million record that was set at Sotheby’s Geneva in 2014 by a pocket watch made by the Swiss maison, namely the near- legendary Henry Graves Jr Supercomplication. It also comprehensively trounced the US$ 17 million realised by the late Paul Newman’s Rolex Daytona wristwatch at the Phillips & Bacs & Russo auction on New York’s Park Avenue in January 2017.
