2019 marked a new sporting milestone for Rolex, which celebrated its fi rst year as premium partner, offi cial timekeeper and offi cial watch of the Roland- Garros stadium in Paris, where the world’s leading tennis players gathered in May and June for the second Grand Slam tournament of the year – and the only one played on clay. In the men’s fi nal, Rafael Nadal defeated Rolex Testimonee Dominic Thiem; the Spanish player had already defeated another Rolex Testimonee, the great Swiss athlete Roger Federer, in the semifi nal.
