Tatler Dining Guide - Hong Kong

Xin Rong Ji

-

HK$800 per person

Xin Rong Ji is home to some of the finest Chinese dishes in the city. Those who wish to splurge on luxury can order the wild yellow croaker from China, simmered in soups and prepared in various ways. Xin Rong Ji sources most of its ingredients from its own farm facilities for better control on its seasonality-driven cuisine. Peking duck is the piece de resistance and it is phenomenal compared to some of the best ones in Hong Kong. Braised sea anemones with sweet potato noodles are best all year round. The restaurant’s braised radish chips are simple, and proof that simple ingredients and cooking win hearts just as well as luxury ingredients.
