Grissini

-

HK$1500 per person

Famed for its hot, crispy namesake pencil-thin breadsticks, the Grand Hyatt’s Italian restaurant has reopened with a casual, New York eatery-inspired interior designed for fans of fine Italian fare—without the stuffy setting. Diners are greeted by a live-action grissini oven with a chef preparing breadsticks before being led into the restaurant’s spacious dining room, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour. On the menu are classic Italian dishes with a modern twist including king crab linguine and ravioli Capresi, made with the chef’s family recipe and steamed instead of boiled, resulting in plump, chewy bites of caciotta cheese covered in a sweet, cherry tomato sauce. The chargrilled yellowtail amberjack served with peaches, zucchini and mint leaves is equally impressive, but save room for dessert. The homemade gelato is creamy and delicious, and the tiramisu—served from a giant bowl, tableside—will have you wishing the server’s ladle was that much bigger.
