Cha Bei’s stunning decor is an Instagrammer’s dream of soft-hued pastels, blooming floral details, and gold and marble accents, complete with a chic lifestyle boutique and fresh flowers at the front of the venue. The thoughtful menu is a clear standout amidst the usual offerings in Macau’s hotel dining scene, with a range of internationally focused, healthforward dishes that showcase fresh produce and new plant-based options. Everything is beautifully presented, too, from a vibrant rainbow baby-carrot couscous starter to the desserts, including a delightful strawberry chiffon cake featuring divinely light and not overly sweet layers of airy sponge, cream and strawberry jam. While the wine list is limited, the overall drinks menu is unusual and diverse, with interesting premium teas, Hong Kong-made beers, freshly pressed juice blends and tea-infused cocktails. Service is well-informed, with staff able to offer useful guidance about portion sizes and dish preparation.
