Chiado
MOP500 per person
Opened late 2018, Chiado stands out among other Portuguese restaurants of its kind, as its contemporary direction gives more energy and a more diverse approach to enliven the classic cuisine. Staying true to Portuguese traditions in preparing some of its
signature dishes such as seafood rice and bacalhau, Chiado reinvented these ingredients into new classics as part of the establishment’s signature dishes such as braised seafood rice with mixed seafood including lobster and red prawns; salted cod ‘A Bras’ with slow-cooked egg yolk and onion puree; as well as a 24-hour slow-cooked suckling pig with sweet potato puree and bok choy. With great pride in its subtle interior design, where the moderately lit space under the ultra-high ceiling brings nostalgia to Portugal’s glorious past. Chiado presents a good selection of wines, particularly those from Portugal. Service is attentive and warm, as the staff welcomes guests with high consistency in service throughout the experience.
