Helmed by award-winning mixologist Antonio Lai, VEA Lounge is perched on the 29th floor of The Wellington, boasting refreshing cityscape views from the tastefully decorated terrace. Opening the leather cover of the menu reveals nearly 20 signature cocktails inspired by the city’s vibrant local cuisine, deconstructed into creative flavours that can be savoured in a glass. The Mango Pomelo is a sterling example of quintessential Hong Kong, created with the mango pomelo sago dessert, a local favourite, in mind. The Whooo’s Chai is equally sublime, presented in an Instagram-worthy copper owl tankard with a glass dome of bay leaf smoke. But it’s not all aesthetics— the turmeric-infused Absolut Elyx and cinnamon make a well-balanced mix that complements its smoky notes. No matter your poison, the Parmesan fries with truffle mayo are an excellent bar snack you can’t miss.
