MR & MRS FOX

-

Quarry Bay is not exactly a destination that springs to mind when you think fine dining—but the area’s redevelopment over recent years has seen a growing food scene, with Swire’s Mr and

Mrs Fox leading the charge. This three-floor restaurant has style to spare, with a whimsical backstory involving a food-loving fox couple and stunning design that mixes traditional English country house vibes with industrial brass and iron details. Whilst the ground floor is a more casual bar area, the large upstairs dining room offers a full food menu bursting with international flavours and premium ingredients. The highlights of our meal are a scrape-the-plateclean delicious Hokkaido scallop with truffle risotto starter, and an incredibly juicy and tender 16oz dry-aged Black Angus strip steak with roasted garlic. The wine menu is comprehensive and helpfully categorised by flavour profile, with a page of “Fox’s Diamonds in the Rough” dedicated to

“special and surprising” picks. On a packed Friday night, we struggle to get our server’s attention – but once we do, they are friendly and knowledgeable about the components of each dish we order. With well-cooked proteins and eye-catching design, Mr and Mrs Fox is easily one of Quarry Bay’s dining standouts.
