Tatler Dining Guide - Hong Kong
FOOK LAM MOON
After a brief renovation period, Macau’s Fook Lam Moon has reopened with a new look that is just as opulent as it was before. The restaurant features a spacious square of a main dining area and sizeable private dining rooms located in the back of the restaurant, together with a revamped menu showcasing a solid foundation and understanding of Cantonese cuisine. This dedication to the genre is exemplified in the establishment’s classics, such as the signature crispy chicken, roasted suckling pig and seafood dishes. The restaurant also excels in simple offerings such as egg noodles with shredded pork, or fried rice wrapped in lotus leaves. The Cantonese restaurant has made adjustments to its offerings, from making sure that half-portions of some of the menu items are available, to tweaking portions (and prices) to accommodate larger parties. The service team is knowledgeable on the restaurant’s offerings and are attentive throughout and, as a result,
the Chinese fine dining restaurant has a strong following.
