BRASSERIE

-

Being located in The Parisian hotel complex rather than on the street, there may not be your typical people watching opportunities but upon entering Brasserie, we are transported back to those we have frequented in the City of Lights. The mild and warm lighting brightens up the traditional wooden furnishings and checked tile flooring, whereas an open bar overlooks the handsome dining space. The menu showcases Parisian classics, from à la carte selections of steamed mussels to pepper steak and a Floating Island dessert, as well as lunch and dinner set menus. The steamed mussels in white wine, shallots, and cream sauce is great for sharing, especially with golden French fries to soak up the seafood liquor. Brasserie’s execution of food is solid; notably, the French onion soup is delightfully sweet with a crisp cheese crouton afloat. Pan-fried fillet mignon in Cognac cream and pepper sauce is properly seared on the outside and pink within, enhanced by a spicy pepper gravy. Brasserie also offers fine quality desserts, including its signature mango soufflé. The wine selection is modest, and the staff are knowledgeable when it comes to giving wine pairing recommendations. Service is personal and attentive with staff making able suggestions.
