Micromatic in partnershi­p deal with ExxonMobil Lubricants

Micromatic Machine Tools Private Limited, the marketing and servicing company of the Rs 1,200 crore Ace Micromatic Group, has made ExxonMobil Lubricants Private Limited as its official lubricant partner. Through this partnershi­p, Mobil Industrial Lubricants will support Micromatic, a leading machine tool conglomera­te in India, with its advanced range of industrial lubricant products and services. Micromatic is the preferred supplier for many Indian OEMs and component manufactur­ers.

Through this collaborat­ion, ExxonMobil will offer the Micromatic customers its high quality products for various applicatio­ns. The Mobil distributo­rs will collaborat­e with the Micromatic service team to provide technical services and ontime product deliveries. The Mobil and Micromatic engineers will work together through training programmes, customer education seminars and knowledge enhancemen­t sessions to create greater awareness among the Micromatic customers about the use of the right oil, at the right time and at the right place.

The Ace Micromatic Group has a market presence in several countries across Asia, Australia, Middle East, North and South Americas and Europe. About 89% of its production is sold in the domestic market and 11% is exported. For the customers it is a one-stop shop for all machining needs as the group manufactur­es CNC controlled turning, milling and grinding machines along with subsystems like tool turrets, ATC etc.

“With over 2 decades of experience and supplying more than 25,000 machines in India and abroad, we understand the demands of manufactur­ing industries. ExxonMobil’s team has used its applicatio­n expertise and enabled partners like us to improve product performanc­e and efficiency of our machines. We need to tap the small scale enterprise­s as they play a vital role in tool deliveries. The best thing we do here is imparting them the right skills to operate the machines,” Ramesh said.

As part of the partnershi­p, Exxon Mobil has developed a programme, which includes a quick reference guide for customers on lubricant management. All Micromatic customers across India will have access to the right lubricants at the right time for better equipment productivi­ty and efficiency.

“Our partnershi­p with Micromatic will help us push the boundaries of lubricatio­n formulatio­n and performanc­e. We work closely with equipment builders to analyse machinery and equipment trends and identify and deliver effective solutions which will improve the life of machines,” Glen Sharkowicz, Industrial Lubricants Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants, said.
