Dynabrade India delivers quality products
Dynabrade India, the Indian arm of Dynabrade Abrasive Power Tools USA, caters to the South East Asian markets and the Asia Pacific Region except China. Dynabrade manufactures aftermarket portable abrasive power tools and accessories and supply the same across globe through a wide network of distributors. Its products come in the league of sanding, polishing and spraying variants. They are used in grinding, finishing, sanding and polishing applications on automotive body parts, metal and painting.
The distribution arm in India was started in 2007 and it meets the needs of the Indian market, South East Asian markets and the Asia Pacific region. The company has manufacturing unit only in the US and has established consumer base in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India to name a few.
“The Indian automotive aftermarket is highly distorted and there are many organised and unorganised players. But the aftermarket is slowly gaining the impetus and many segments are getting organised now. Our products find applications from Nano to BMW segment. Sanding, polishing and spraying are the processes which give effective surface finishing to the body parts of the vehicle. We recommend certain protocols to use our products and the proper usage abiding by the factory recommendations increases the tool life. The longevity of air tools is derived with the use of filter-regulator-lubricator. The unwanted particles could be filtered out and the regulator maintains the pressure to which the tool can be exposed to and the lubricator gives adequate lubrication to the tools,” Gurjit Singh, Segment Manager, Sales & Marketing (Automotive Refinish), told
The company stated that it gives one year warranty to the tools and within the said period any issues would be taken care of. There are more than 150 distributors across India and the reach is very easy. Through them the patrons can rectify or replace the defected tool. “Our Unique Value Proposition is service and delivery and it is epitomised with the number of distributors across the country,” Singh said. The company also divulged that it does not play in the cost zone. “The products are a little expensive but the quality they bring differentiates our play in the market. Our products get tagged ‘supremo’ with A class body shops which are the direct dealers of the OEMs. The highend cars focus more on quality to cost and the surface finishing is never a less intense bay for them to swing through. Hence the largest share of the market comes to us in that segment with sanders product segment. We do are expensive in spraying and polishing product segments but there are quite a few players who chase us forward with the cost effectiveness they show in their variants,” he said.
The company also claimed that since its inception in 2007, the growth curve peaked so rapidly and marked 9-10 fold value. The abrasive tool maker stated that any car made in India will be mechanised with Dynabrade tool.
The company has establishments across 125 countries and has 350 employees. Local warehousing helps the company supply to leading OEMs like BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Ford to name a few. “We are a 2 million US dollar company and has the employee strength of 20 people,” added Singh. With the focus on quality the company anticipates good growth by 2020.
