Wabco supplies braking system for Tata’s new 100 bhp Prima truck

Wabco India, a leading supplier of technologies that improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles, demonstrated its advanced safety and efficiency technologies on the race track, one of the most challenging operating environments for heavy-duty trucks. For the fourth consecutive year, Wabco India participated as the official braking technology partner for Tata Motors at the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship Season 4, on March 19, 2017 at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.

The T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship featured Tata Motors Prima trucks specifically built for the race track. Tata Motors equips both its Prima race trucks and production trucks with Wabco’s range of industryleading safety and efficiency technologies, thereby, helping to optimise the vehicles’ safety and stability performance in all operating environments. Each Tata Motors Prima race truck competing in Super Class, Champion Class and PRO Class races carried Wabco’s anti-lock braking system (ABS), highperformance air management system in addition to highoutput, modular compressor technology, advanced air actuation systems, Integrated Pedal Unit (IPU) and other braking components. In addition, Wabco furnished Tata Motors’ new 1000 BHP Prima race truck with powerful single-piston Air Disc Brakes (ADBs with reduced stopping distance and balanced braking.
