Wabco sup­plies brak­ing sys­tem for Tata’s new 100 bhp Prima truck

Wabco In­dia, a lead­ing sup­plier of tech­nolo­gies that im­prove the safety, ef­fi­ciency and con­nec­tiv­ity of com­mer­cial ve­hi­cles, demon­strated its ad­vanced safety and ef­fi­ciency tech­nolo­gies on the race track, one of the most chal­leng­ing op­er­at­ing en­vi­ron­ments for heavy-duty trucks. For the fourth con­sec­u­tive year, Wabco In­dia par­tic­i­pated as the of­fi­cial brak­ing tech­nol­ogy part­ner for Tata Mo­tors at the T1 Prima Truck Rac­ing Cham­pi­onship Sea­son 4, on March 19, 2017 at the Buddh In­ter­na­tional Cir­cuit, Greater Noida.

The T1 Prima Truck Rac­ing Cham­pi­onship fea­tured Tata Mo­tors Prima trucks specif­i­cally built for the race track. Tata Mo­tors equips both its Prima race trucks and pro­duc­tion trucks with Wabco’s range of in­dus­trylead­ing safety and ef­fi­ciency tech­nolo­gies, thereby, help­ing to op­ti­mise the ve­hi­cles’ safety and sta­bil­ity per­for­mance in all op­er­at­ing en­vi­ron­ments. Each Tata Mo­tors Prima race truck com­pet­ing in Su­per Class, Cham­pion Class and PRO Class races car­ried Wabco’s anti-lock brak­ing sys­tem (ABS), high­per­for­mance air man­age­ment sys­tem in ad­di­tion to high­out­put, mod­u­lar com­pres­sor tech­nol­ogy, ad­vanced air ac­tu­a­tion sys­tems, In­te­grated Pedal Unit (IPU) and other brak­ing com­po­nents. In ad­di­tion, Wabco fur­nished Tata Mo­tors’ new 1000 BHP Prima race truck with pow­er­ful sin­gle-pis­ton Air Disc Brakes (ADBs with re­duced stop­ping dis­tance and bal­anced brak­ing.
