Prayag Polytech plans to build 2 new facilities in Gujarat
The New Delhi-based Prayag Polytech, a leading supplier of masterbatches since 1996, will set up 2 new plants in Gujarat. The company has 3 manufacturing facilities at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. One of the proposed new plants will go on stream early next year. The masterbatch manufacturer also plans to get into compounding by 2020 to serve the four-wheeler industry.

ComponentsIndia that “We have invested in pilot plants and that gives an extra mileage for us. The pilot plants helps us interpret the customer’s needs and tailor solutions for them. We are simulating the process requirements in our in-house pilot plants” Masterbatches is a solid or liquid colouring additive for plastic components. It is a concentrated mixture of pigments or additives encapsulated during heat treatment process in the carrier resin where it colors the raw polymers economically during the plastic manufacturing process. The alternative to masterbatches is compounding and the automotive industry consumes large quantities of compounding.
Quality plays a vital role as colour of the vehicle is very critical. Even marginal difference will make major impact in the automotive industry.
