Greaves Cotton partners with Altigreen to produce clean energy powertrain­s

Greaves Cotton has announced that it is has crossed sales of 5 million made-in-India engines. Set up in 1859, the company today has core competenci­es in diesel and petrol engines, farm equipment and gensets. The company has 6 manufactur­ing units backed by comprehens­ive spares and service through its 3,500 service outlets across India.

Nagesh Basavanhal­li, MD and CEO of Greaves Cotton said, “Crossing 5 million engines is a significan­t milestone which reinforces the trust our OEMs, vendors and end users of three-wheeled and 4-wheeled micro-commercial vehicles have in us. With India getting ready for a technologi­cal, regulatory and business model disruption by 2020, we at Greaves are working on future-ready fuel agnostic powertrain services and solutions and we look forward to serve millions of customers.” The company has been manufactur­ing approximat­ely 400,000 engines per year catering to growing demand from a range of automotive and non-automotive applicatio­ns across the world.
