Gilard Electronics plans to set up new manufacturing facility in Chennai
Gilard Electronics, manufacturer of toggle switches, resistors, resistor blowers, wiper motor cover sub assembly, wire assemblies and connectors, plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Chennai, a major automotive industry hub. Currently, the company has a facility in Chandigarh.
“As our company’s business in the South zone is increasing, we have plans to open a new plant in one of the industrial areas in Chennai. The new plant will meet the demands of our customers and expand our business capability in the Southern region. Our consistent quality, on-time deliveries and constant development attract customers across India,” Uma Ganesh, Branch Manager, Gilard Electronics, South Zone, said.
“We supply quality products, which are highly appreciated by our clients in the international and national markets. We work hard to match with the International Quality Standards. Our business dealings are highly transparent and we have secured a reputed position in the market,” she said.
The company will supply AC Control, resistors, rectifiers and wiper motor cover sub assembly, engine components for ECUs etc. to Visteon, Wabco, Asahi India, Lucas TVS, Delphi TVS, Saint Gobain, Bosch, Swaraj Mazda (Ropar), Mitsubishi Electric Automotive (India) Pvt. Ltd and Subros. Recently, it bagged new orders from Behr India to supply resistor blower and rotary switches.
“We constantly endeavour to implement new and innovative methods to facilitate bulk production within the stipulated time frame. Gilard Electronics plans to be a tier-1 supplier to the car manufacturers in India. “We upgrade ourselves constantly to cope with the new generation technologies and customers. Soon we will be a tier-1 supplier to the passenger car manufacturers in India. We have captured market for ourselves in Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Europe and the US,” she added.
The brand exports its products like AC Control, and connectors to Singapore and telecommunication products to Russia. In addition to this, the company supplies power sockets to Philippines and the US. The company has a growth rate of 14% and anticipates 20% growth in the next financial year.
