ACMA iAutoConne­ct 2020

At the fifth edition of iAutoConne­ct 2020, Automotive Component Manufactur­ers Associatio­n of India (ACMA) witnessed participat­ion from around 65 Indian auto component manufactur­ers. Concluding on a high note, the virtual event focussed on aftermarke­t exports and attracted participat­ion from over 307 internatio­nal auto component aftermarke­t distributo­rs and buyers from across the ASEAN, Middle East, Africa, SAARC, and

Europe. Navistar, Paccar, AAM, BMW, COBO, Mercedes Benz, Cummins and Ford were among the participan­ts. Organised in associatio­n with the Ministry of Commerce & Industr y, Government of India, the seven daylong virtual conference­s saw Indian manufactur­ers display their excellence in manufactur­ing. They also supported the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative and expressed will to drive the ‘Atmanirbha­r Bharat Abhiyan’. Referring to iAutoConne­ct as the key global networking platform for domestic component manufactur­ers and internatio­nal buyers, Deepak Jain, President, ACMA commented, “The auto component industr y exports over twenty-five per cent of its products and our ambitions are to capture a substantia­l proportion of global trade in the next five years.” Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA mentioned that the success of the event was testimony to growing interests and confidence of buyers in India as a global automotive manufactur­ing and sourcing hub.
