INCREASING THE appeal of one of India’s most loved SUVs, Mahindra has launched an updated version of the Scorpio. With prices starting at Rs 9.97 lakh (ex-showroom) for the S3 variant, the latest Scorpio gets more technology, better styling amd an updated engine with more power in the S7 and S11 variants. The engine displacement remains the same but power has been bumped up to 140bhp, thanks to tweaks and the addition of a new Borg Warner turbo charger. Exterior changes include a new chrome grille, fog lamps with chrome bezels, alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated side turn indicators, redesigned tail gate and LED tail lamps. On the other hand, inside it now gets premium faux leather seats, faux leather wrapped steering and gear lever, new roof-mounted sunglass holder and enhanced storage spaces. The Scorpio also gets a new reversing camera and ABS for safer stopping capabilities.
