Up­dates to starter-AMGs in In­dia

CEL­E­BRAT­ING AMG’S 50th birth­day, Mercedes-Benz has launched two new AMG-tuned mod­els in the coun­try – the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 and GLA 45 4Matic. Both cars get their power from a 2.0-litre tur­bocharged four-cylin­der en­gine, pro­duc­ing 375bhp and 475Nm of torque. While the CLA has the abil­ity to hit the 0-100kmph mark in 4.2 sec­onds, the GLA man­ages to do the same run in 4.4 sec­onds. De­sign and per­for­mance changes to the CLA in­clude a new front spoiler, new AMG front apron with a new A-wing de­sign and lou­vres in the outer air in­take. The changes have also helped the car be­come more slip­pery, re­duc­ing the drag co­ef­fi­cient to 0.30.

De­sign changes to the GLA also in­clude a new AMG lip spoiler for more down­force, new front apron, lou­vres in the three air in­takes, front split­ter in­sert in chrome, de­tail­ing in high gloss black and the AMG ra­di­a­tor grille fin­ished in chrome. Both cars fea­ture in­te­ri­ors fin­ished in ex­clu­sive ma­te­ri­als. While the GLA 45 fea­tures Ar­tico man­made leather on the dash­board with red top-stitch­ing, the CLA 45 fea­tures Ar­tico leather on the dash­board and the belt­lines with red top-stitch­ing. Prices for the small­est AMG twins In­dia gets start at Rs 75.2 lakh for the CLA 45, while the GLA 45 is priced at Rs 77.85 lakh (ex-show­room). The ‘aero edi­tion’ of both cars cost Rs 77.69 lakh and Rs 80.67 lakh (all prices are ex-show­room) re­spec­tively.
