VERDICT
There is little to doubt that the Fortuner is an extremely capable SUV. It packs in killer looks and a proper 4wd system complete with shift on the fly high and low ratios. It looks big too. But when after going through our rigorous evaluation process, the Kodiaq pulls through. It is lighter to drive, offers better performance and fuel economy and is feature rich. The only cause of concern then is the price which is marginally more than that of the Fortuner.
