The Tata Sumo was one of the most iconic SUV’s of its time and since its launch 25 years’ ago, the 10-seater SUV was sold more than 100,000 units over the course of this period. The last iteration of the Tata Sumo came in the form of the Sumo Gold, and it was powered by a BS-IV 3.0-litre diesel engine that developed 85bhp and 250Nm.

Some of the other notable vehicles that did not make the cut are Honda BR-V, Mahindra KUV100 Diesel, Nissan Terrano, Renault Lodgy, Toyota Etios Liva and Volkswagen Ameo.
