Genesis unveils new sedan

HYUNDAI’S LUXURY arm, Genesis has unveiled the new G80 sedan ahead of its launch in international markets. Styled along the same lines as the Genesis GV80 SUV that was unveiled earlier this year, the G80 is the company’s answer to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Lexus ES and the Volvo

S90. Like the GV80, the Genesis G80 gets split headlight and tail light clusters with horizontal front and rear turn indicators that align with the ones on the side, while the nose is dominated by a large Crest’ grille. The profile features a fusion of sedan and coupe styling with a roofline that tapers into a spoiler like element towards the rear, and sits on 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. The sedan will be available with three engine options: 2.5-litre turbocharged 4-cyl petrol engine with 304bhp and 422Nm, a 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine with 380bhp and 530Nm, and a 2.2-litre 4-cyl diesel with 210bhp and 441Nm.
