Though the picture used here was clicked before the countrywide lockdown was announced, the memories with Renault Triber are still fresh and close to my heart. It’s been over 40 days that I haven’t gone for a spin around the city in our long term Renault Triber, as a result almost no mileage has been added since the last report. So instead let’s talk about the storage space available in the Triber.
While travelling, the Triber not only offers space and ample room for the passengers on all three rows of seating, but it also offers most practical storage space in cabin. Talking first about the front row, you get two glove-boxes and both offer good usable space. While the top one is good for storage ( in fact I do remember to keep my munchies like biscuit packs there along with my spare car charger for emergencies), below it is the cooled glove box that has separate slots to hold sunglasses and papers. Front door pockets are big and can hold large bottles and documents, but my choice is to keep one or two microfiber cloths for car cleaning. The twodeck storage on the front centre console is handy to keep Triber’s smart key or mobile and belongings like wallet, ID cards etc. Also available are two-cup holders for both front passengers, which falls just next to gear lever and before the useful cooled storage box in centre console.
While the second row comes with the usual gamut of door spaces, the third row is the most versatile of them all. While one can choose to remove the seats completely thereby opening up 625 litres of boot space, with the seats in, boot space is reduced to 85 litres. The modular nature of the third row impresses and is what makes the Triber brilliant. Needless to say can’t wait to get into the Triber and on the road again.
