RE Interceptor 650

Catchphrase 2020 seems to be coronavirus and I’m sure I’m not the only one who could live without hearing the words Corona Virus ever again. Needless to say, while we have been limited to working from our homes with government enforced quarantines across the country my long termer has been languishing at the office parking. The Interceptor, and this rider have been itching to hit the open roads again, following our last trip to Dehradun a few days before the lockdown was brought into effect. The first thing on my post lockdown to-do list is some much needed TLC for my beloved long termer!

What’s worse it seems the heavens are mocking us, as we are forced to stay in the confines of our homes as some of the best spring riding weather simply passes us by. Looking back on the seven months that the Interceptor 650 has been a part of our long term fleet, it goes without saying that it is one of the all-stars, worth all of the hype surrounding it! Every member of the team that has spent time with it or even ridden it for a bit has had nothing but good to say about it! Personally, it’s that unique exhaust note that still rings in my ears as I long to be united with my Interceptor again. The feeling of the twins beating in harmony building frequency through the rev range without the slightest complaint, the ride too is as pliant as it gets! It really is one of the best all round riding packages in the country! Praying to the almighty, this pandemic situation may end soon and everybody can live their normal life.
