CHASSIS
The chassis is the skeleton around which the whole motorcycle is built. It consists of the headstock, the frame, the sub-frame, the swingarm pivot, and the front and rear suspension. The headstock and swingarm pivot are the areas that endure the most stress and, therefore, are as directly and rigidly connected to each other as possible. The chassis can be constructed from steel, aluminium, magnesium, titanium, carbon-fibre or other composite material, depending on the cost and type of application of the motorcycle.
